Sony LT30 Mint may come to market as the Xperia TAlex Wagner - Deputy Managing Editor, News Desk
Toward the end of July, an unannounced Sony handset referred to by the model number LT30 and codename "Mint" starred in a spec and photo-filled leak. One thing that wasn't contained within the report was what name the phone might go by once it actually launches, but now we've got a possible retail name to attach to the Mint thanks to a DLNA certificate. A Sony product with the model number LT30 has been given the green light by DLNA, and in the Product Name portion of the device's test certificate, the name "Xperiaâ„¢ T." Taking out the random characters in the middle of that name leaves us with Xperia T.
In terms of specs, the Mint/Xperia T is rumored to feature a 720p display, 1.5GHz dual-core processor, 13-megapixel camera and Android 4.0. There's no word on exactly when this thing might be launching, but IFA 2012 in Berlin is kicking off later this month and Sony is planning an event right before the show, so we may learn more details on the LT30 then. You can check out the device's DLNA test certificate in PDF form right here to help pass the time until Sony's shindig gets underway.
