Original Samsung Galaxy Tab Receiving Gingerbread Upgrade
Verizon has announced that their original Samsung Galaxy Tab is set to receive an Android 2.3 upgrade coming very soon. The original Tab is often lost in the mix of Verizon’s newer, more powerful Android tablets but it remains 7″ favorite on the Verizon network. This is of course, great news for Verizon Tab owners as the Gingerbread update will help breath new life into the original Galaxy Tab.
The Android 2.3.5 update will bring:
- Improved Word Selection and Copy Functionality inside Email and Messaging
- New Download Manager App
- New App and Power Management Details with “Running” Tab displaying active applications
- Use front facing camera as a camcorder
- Download App icon now displaying in Application page
- Widgets will resize to accurately reflect landscape or portrait mode
